Description
Control salt concentration for repeatable brine preparation
This practical salinometer with a measuring tube helps you check salt concentration when preparing cheese brine. Its 0–300 g salt/l scale makes routine checks easier, so you can compare batches instead of relying only on an estimated amount of salt.
Practical construction and a clear scale
The salinometer and tube are made from durable, impact-resistant plastic approved for food contact. Their lightweight construction is convenient in a home dairy, while the clear coloured scale makes readings straightforward. A shatterproof set is a practical alternative to glass measuring instruments.
Where can it be used?
For checking cheese brines, preparing pickling liquids for vegetables, curing meat and fish, and home fermentations requiring controlled salt concentration. A reading supports process control; choose the target concentration for your recipe.
Measurement conditions
The instrument is calibrated at 20°C, so measure a sample at that temperature. A saturated solution contains the maximum amount of salt that can dissolve at a given temperature; additional salt will remain undissolved.
Technical details
