Description
A storage solution designed to ensure maximum performance of pH and ORP electrodes.
After cleaning the electrode with one of the cleaning solutions, rinse it with tap water and then soak it in the storage solution before taking measurements. A pH 4.01 or pH 7.01 buffer solution may be used when the level of the storage solution is low.
Between measurements, storage solutions minimise microbial growth and prevent the effects of diffusion and osmosis. They also keep the sensor tip and reference junction hydrated and clean, all of which are important for optimal response time and accurate measurements.
The freshness and quality of the storage solution are ensured by airtight bottles with tamper-evident seals. Each bottle is marked with a batch number and expiry date.
Important: pH or Redox (ORP) electrodes should never be stored in distilled or deionised water, as this will shorten the service life of the sensor.
