Description

The key to Bradley Smokers' success is the Bradley Flavor Bisquettes. To produce briquettes, hardwood shavings are bonded together using precise amounts, under controlled pressure and density. The taste of the smoke depends on the type of wood that is burned.

Alder and maple produce a rich and distinct flavor commonly used with seafood ham and bacon.
Stronger and more expressive mesquite and hickory flavors are commonly used to smoke beef and pork products such as shoulder and brisket.

Apple and cherry give a sweeter, milder smoky aftertaste, commonly used with poultry and game.
For more information on wood types and flavors, see the Flavor Guide below.

The Bradley Smoker smokehouse burns the briquette once every 20 minutes, giving it a pure smoke aroma. When the briquette is burnt, it is gently pushed out of the burner with another briquette. The burnt briquette falls into a container with water to die out. The cycle lasts as long as the smokehouse is loaded with briquettes.

When burning wood, the smell of smoke is produced in the first minutes of burning. When wood generates enough heat to burn itself, it produces high temperatures, acids, resins, and gases. They distort the taste and appearance of the smoked food. When the wood is burning to such an extent, there is no control over the smoking conditions. Thanks to Bradley Flavor Bisquettes, this problem has been eliminated.

Bradley Flavor Bisquettes not only eliminate unwanted heat, but the smoke produced by the Bradley method is four times cleaner than the smoke produced by loose wood chips traditionally burned in a hearth.

Bradley Smoker uses briquettes at a rate of approximately one every 20 minutes. Smoking costs are relatively low.

Composition
Bradley Flavor Bisquettes are made of natural, hardwood without any additives. Tests by the British Columbia Institute of Technology have shown that the Bradley Flavor Bisquettes produces smoke four times cleaner than the smoke produced by wood chips traditionally burned in a hearth.
- 99.98% of natural hardwood or fruit wood
- 0.02% collagen - a natural substance used as a binder

Origin
The EU Timber Regulation requires legally traded timber companies to exercise due diligence when trading timber or timber products within the EU. The rules are designed to prevent illegal logging. All Bradley Bisquettes are subject to this due diligence process which is undertaken by the European distributor in cooperation with the manufacturer.

Eco / organic
Some customers have asked about Bradley Bisquettes' green status. The question was directed to the Soil Association, which is dealing with such issues. We were assured that the briquettes met the requirements, although we do not yet have a formal certificate. Customers can ask the Soil Association individually whether the briquette will meet their requirements.
